• Store your jewelry in a clean, cool, and dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.

MAINTAINING SHINE:

It is important to consider the following to optimize the condition of your jewelry over time:

• Your jewelry may lose its shine when exposed to the open air for prolonged periods.
• Tarnishing or dullness is a natural process that can be restored through cleaning.
• We strongly recommend removing any jewelry before sleeping, showering, or participating in physical activities.
• Exposure to certain chemicals or environments can compromise the integrity of your jewelry. This includes (but is not limited to): sweat, perfumes/colognes, cleaning products, chlorine, saltwater, silver polish, etc.

CLEANING YOUR JEWELRY:

• Mix a small amount of soap with lukewarm water and gently brush the item with a soft toothbrush. Toothbrushes are ideal for cleaning jewelry with hard-to-reach corners.
• If dirt persists, repeat the process using clean water.

Important: Gold-plated pieces require extra care. Vigorous rubbing may cause the gold plating to wear off, so it’s important to clean gently to prevent damage. A specific polishing cloth for silver is an excellent tool to make your jewelry shine again if it has tarnished over time. However, this technique will not remove scratches or dents the piece may have.

HOW TO STORE YOUR JEWELRY:

• Always store your jewelry away from sunlight and heat, ideally in a padded jewelry box or tarnish-resistant bag.
• Individual plastic (polyethylene) bags with airtight seals are also suitable. Never use rubber containers, as they accelerate tarnishing and may blacken the pieces.
• Under no circumstances should you store your jewelry in a bathroom or humid area.
• Please note that ANITIALS boxes are not designed to keep items in perfect condition for extended periods, as they are not airtight, and discoloration may occur if not worn frequently.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

ANITIALS does not guarantee that the gold plating on our models will last forever. Gold-plated pieces are inherently more delicate and susceptible to color loss over time. The speed at which the color fades depends on multiple factors, such as the use of chemicals on the skin, the level of body perspiration, or even the natural pH level of each individual’s skin. For this reason, it is especially important to take proper care of your gold-plated jewelry.
